Originally conceived for residential use, the property was converted to hotel usage on completion in 1979. As a result, the guest accommodation at the property is extremely spacious whilst each room has a private terrace. The heart of the hotel and its social focus is the Roman Bridge ( Puente Romano) from which the property takes its name. The Hotel Puente Romano comprises 40.000 sq m of lush sub-tropical landscaped gardens. Waterfalls, hidden pools, brooks and streams are formed by the Nagüeles River which winds through the resort from the Sierra Blanca Mountains which encircles Marbella. The 232 spacious guest rooms are located in 26, 3-story villas. All rooms are equipped with a private bathroom, bathrobes, hair-dryer, air-conditioning, marble flooring, private terrace, cable TV, radio, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box, and mini-bar. Our Suites additionaly feature heated bathroom floor, Jacuzzi and sauna. Dining possiblities include Andalucian, Mediterranean, Italian and international dishes at hotel restaurants and bars. The Puente Romano is the ideal location for small to medium size meetings and conferences with five rooms of a total 617 sq m of space. Guest can enjoy 10 tennis courts, Fitness Center, gymnasium, aerobics classes, games room, pro shop, massage,sauna, two heated pools plus children’s pool, jetski, cayak, waterski, para-sailing, catamaran, windsurfing and motorboat excursions.
